Senior Unity Developer

Cubic Games is a development studio within the GDEV holding. We've grown from a small team into a leading game development studio with over 160 specialists. Our mission is to create unique pixel-style games, including the popular Pixel Gun 3D, which attracts over 3 million monthly active players.

We’re currently working on a new project - Pixel Gun 2, a cross-platform PvP arena shooter.

Responsibilities

• Implement new product features end-to-end: from idea/solution design to integration, testing, and release.
• Participate in estimation, task breakdown, and planning together with the team.
• Optimize and improve existing mechanics and systems, including refactoring and reducing technical debt.
• Work with cross-platform solutions and platform-specific requirements (mobile/PC).
• Collaborate with game design and take part in discussions on implementing mechanics and systems.

Requirements

• 3+ years of commercial experience with Unity (C#).
• At least 1 year of experience working on shooter games.
• Hands-on experience with multiplayer and/or networked gameplay; understanding of synchronization principles and lag compensation at a practical task level.
• Strong knowledge of OOP and the ability to apply design patterns and software design principles.
• Experience developing and maintaining gameplay systems and mechanics; solid understanding of feature architecture.
• Experience with profiling and optimizing implemented features.
• Confident with Git.
• Russian language proficiency at C1 level.
