Cubic Games is a mobile games studio and part of the international holding GDEV. We’re creators of Pixel Gun 3D, a mobile shooter with 3M+ monthly active players.
We are currently looking for a Release Manager with strong operational skills who will take ownership of the release flow, ensure transparency of processes, and help the team ship updates consistently and on time. We are looking for someone who does more than simply run releases through a checklist. The ideal candidate understands how a release pipeline works, can anticipate risks in advance, flag issues early, manage release artifacts, and contribute to improving the process.
This role works closely with the Project Manager: the PM manages the overall task system, priorities, and team capacity, while the Release Manager is responsible for the state of the release within that system and reports to the Project Manager.
— manage the release flow, track pipeline status, dependencies, risks, and blockers
— maintain release documentation and artifacts: changelogs, release notes, patch notes
— coordinate with PM, marketing, QA, content, and design teams to keep the release on track
— ensure platform compliance across App Store, Google Play, Steam, and other stores
— identify bottlenecks, suggest improvements, and support process optimization
— participate in post-release analysis and retrospectives
— 2+ years managing releases of mobile and/or PC games
— hands-on experience with platform tools (Google Play Console, App Store Connect, Steamworks)
— confident with Jira, Slack, Google Sheets, and documentation tools
— ability to organize processes, track statuses, and escalate risks proactively
— analytical mindset, attention to detail, and operational ownership
— understanding of release pipelines, dependencies, and LiveOps workflows
— experience with multiple stores (Huawei, Amazon) and marketing/ASO materials is a plus
— official salary and employment under Armenian labor law or remote contract
— 21 vacation days + 3 paid days off, 100% paid sick leave
— health insurance for local employees in Armenia
— workshops, internal lectures, corporate events
— opportunity to work on a product with a multi-million audience and influence its growth
Important: currently not considering candidates based in Russia or Belarus.
