Python Backend Developer

Cubic Games is a development studio and part of the GDEV holding. What started as a small team has grown into a game development studio with more than 120 professionals on board.

Our mission is to create unique pixel-style games. We are the developers of the popular shooter Pixel Gun 3D, played by over 5 million users worldwide every month.

What will you be doing?

• Developing the backend for a high-load game project.

• Collaborating with client-side developers and DevOps engineers.

• Writing and maintaining technical documentation.

• Participating in planning and daily stand-ups.

What we expect from you:

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role.

• Fluent Russian is required for this role.

• Proven experience working on high-load projects.

• Strong knowledge of Python.

• Experience with any asynchronous framework (Aiohttp, Sanic, FastAPI).

• Ability to work with databases both via ORM (SQLAlchemy) and directly (PostgreSQL).

• Experience with NoSQL databases (Redis, MongoDB).

• Experience with Nginx, uWSGI.

• Experience with Kafka/MQ.

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
