We are currently working on a new project — Pixel Gun 2, a cross-platform PvP arena shooter. We’re looking for an experienced Server-side C# Developer. What You'll Be Doing:
- Develop and optimize server-side logic in C# for a headless Unity build
- Integrate and configure network solutions using Photon Fusion
- Ensure scalability and fault tolerance of the server infrastructure
- Implement multiplayer shooter game logic (player synchronization, physics processing, anti-cheat mechanisms)
- Debug and resolve networking and server issues
- Collaborate with client-side developers and game designers to implement new mechanics
- Participate in code reviews and maintain high code quality standards
What We're Looking For:
- 3+ years of experience in server-side C# development
- Strong understanding of the Unity engine, including networking capabilities and headless mode
- Hands-on experience with Photon Fusion in multiplayer game development
- Proficiency in asynchronous programming and multithreading in C#
- Solid knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/UDP) and client-server architecture
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Server-side performance optimization skills
- Russian language proficiency at B2 level or higher
Would be a plus:
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for server deployment
- Experience developing shooters (FPS/TPS), understanding genre specifics (fast synchronization, low latency, ballistics)
- Practical experience with Amazon GameLift is a significant advantage
- Familiarity with other networking frameworks (Mirror, Netcode for GameObjects)
- Anti-cheat system development experience
- Experience operating multiplayer live-service games
